Until this summer we were contract delivering all of our orders using refrigerated trucking companies to keep our products frozen. Unfortunately we began having serious problems with many of our orders being thawed in transit. In addition to this our freight rates more than tripled due to the high cost of fuel. In June we decided to begin personally delivering into Calgary and Edmonton to connect directly with our customers and offer a more reasonable delivery service that both TK Ranch and our customers could afford. We deliver into both cities every two weeks. Please see our delivery schedule below for more information. We do our best to keep all of our meat items in stock. But because of the way our animals are raised, ie: not factory farmed, we occasionally run out of product - especially if it is a popular item. It is also important to understand that we cannot process animals just because we are out of one or two items. A good example is our very popular nitrite free bacon. As soon as we have it in stock we sell out of it. Unfortunately only 17% of a pig is bacon - this means that we need to sell the other 83% of the meat before processing more animals. When you place your order we will arrange payment with you. Order Minimums and Buyers Clubs If you place a $500 order we will deliver it directly to your home it at no extra charge. We of course accept smaller orders, but please understand that a delivery charge of $25 will be added to your order for this personalized service. Often we will get several families or friends ordering together to meet this $500 minimum. For no extra charge we will individually package and invoice each person's order so that it is easy for you to identify and distribute them to your friends or family. Tentative Delivery Schedule We do our best to deliver on the dates we have scheduled, but occasionally these shift around due to unforeseen circumstances (like severe weather, livestock emergencies requiring us to stay home, etc.). Please call us to confirm the dates listed below. In mid-August we are outfitting our truck with a brand new freezer unit. This will take several days so we have decided to skip one scheduled delivery to allow us to get the work completed. We will resume a regular shipping schedule again in September.
